Peru is #1 for Bird Diversity!

Peru already attracts birdwatchers from all over the world to observe the intense diversity in all of our ecosystems.

The South American Ornithological society has recently released their updated list with a total of 1879 birds present in our country.

This surpasses Colombia as the leader in avian diversity.

We know it isnt a competition but we won! we won!

Very exciting news from this group of researchers who also recently visited our lodge. They are so good, they managed to find a couple species I’ve never seen on our property. There is also speculation of a new species just behind the lodge, more info on that to come soon!
